Amazfit PowerBuds Pro Has an Integrated Heart Rate Sensor, Price IDR 2 Million

Spanish, Gizmology – Now almost all wearables or IoT devices are equipped with features that can support health. The existence of a pandemic has made people pay more attention to their individual conditions. As a well-known accessory vendor, Huami has just presented the Amazfit PowerBuds Pro in the middle of this month, combining health and audio features.

This Xiaomi-supported vendor has indeed released various types of accessory devices. Starting from smartwatches that are officially sold at Xiaomi stores, Amazfit Bip, to various TWS. Starting from a focus on audio, to special TWS to improve sleep quality. This time, Amazfit tries to combine two uses in one device.

In appearance, the Amazfit PowerBuds Pro does look like wireless earphones in general. It has the dimensions of a case and earbuds that look normal in white. The difference is, these earbuds are equipped with additional sensors to detect heart rate while on the move. While bringing other features such as Active Noise Cancellation (ANC).

Different from the previous PowerBuds, the Amazfit PowerBuds Pro is designed more like the AirPods Pro. Due to the more complete sensor, the weight per earbud is slightly heavier at 6.7 grams. It holds IP55 certification for splash and dust resistance.

Comes in two-tone white and gray, Huami provides four pairs of silicone eartips to make it more precise for all consumers. Jump to the excellent feature offered, is the ability to log health information while exercising.

Only through one TWS device, Amazfit PowerBuds Pro can record speed, time, distance, number of calories burned, heart rate, pace to the number of steps. Even more sophisticated, it can automatically detect when the user is running, without having to manually activate the tracker.

Because it functions at the same time as a wireless earphone, the device will provide real-time notifications via voice to inform the distance up to the total kilometers that have been traveled. When not exercising, the Amazfit PowerBuds Pro can detect if the user has been sitting in an angle for too long. The device will make a sound to remind the user to move the neck to be more relaxed.

With a total of six microphones (three per earbud), the new Huami TWS can provide up to 40dB of ANC. There are four modes to choose from; indoor, travel, sports and adaptive that automatically adjusts to ambient sound. Thru Mode can also be activated so that sounds from outside can still be heard.

In a single use, the Amazfit PowerBuds Pro can be used to play music for up to 9 hours non-stop (or almost 6 hours with ANC). Meanwhile, when combined with a charging case, it can add power to a total of 30 hours. It takes 2.5 hours to charge via the USB-C port.

Other features brought are very common in other TWS; wear detection, touch shortcuts for voice command activation, to fast pairing. As well as AI call noise-reduction which can reduce noise and wind around the user.

Despite having the most complete sensor in a TWS, the Amazfit PowerBuds Pro still comes with an affordable price tag. Starting to be available since July 15, Huami has set a price of USD149.99, or around Rp. 2.1 million.
