Nokia G20 Now Available in E-Commerce, Bring NFC Price of IDR 2 Million Rp

Jakarta, Gizmology – For consumers who are really looking for an Android smartphone with a feature focus on security, the lineup of devices from HMD Global does look the most attractive. Introduced globally last April, one of its newest offerings, the Nokia G20 is finally officially on sale in the country.

Yes, HMD has not launched this smartphone gambling in the country. However, signs of its presence have emerged since a few weeks ago. Marked by its appearance on the site Indonesian TKDN postal, until its appearance on several e-commerce sites that can be found. At that time, the complete pre-order price is displayed along with the estimated unit delivery.

This year HMD decided to change the name of its device series line. Instead of purely using numbers with periods, this time relying on a first letter that gives the segment status, followed by two numbers behind it. For G series like Nokia G20 & G10, the highlight is the long battery life.

Information on the availability of the Nokia G20 in Indonesia first emerged from the tweet of a technology observer, Herry SW. Through his personal Twitter account, he expressed his welcome for the presence of the mid-range smartphone, complete with an image containing the appearance of the device, key specifications, and the selling price.

So what is the price of the Nokia G20? The good news is, it is cheaper than the recommended price at its launch last April, which reached 159 Euros or Rp. 2.7 million. When checked at one of the retail stores that also sells Nokia devices and accessories on Tokopedia, the Nokia G20 is already available at a price of IDR 2,499 million.

The unit is no longer in pre-order status, recorded since last July 14—for some reason HMD has not officially announced the presence of this new smartphone. The ‘bad’ news is that the specifications carried by the Nokia G20 still feel lacking, especially when compared to competitors who have the exact same chipset specifications and main camera sizes.

Nothing is really equal, really. When judging by those who have the exact same chipset, realme C15 only has a 13MP main camera sensor, but the price tag is cheaper at only Rp. 1.99 million. As for the smartphone series with NFC, there are Redmi Note 10S which is slightly more expensive, but all the specs are much more classy.

But if you are really looking for a cheap stock Android smartphone that has an NFC sensor, the new Nokia G20 can be a suitable alternative. It looks pretty cool, and is identical to its more expensive sibling, namely Nokia 5.4. Except the front screen design is a little behind.

The Nokia G20 has a slightly wider screen at 6.5 inches, although it still has HD+ resolution. Running on the Helio G35 chip, the battery is made much bigger than its big brother, reaching 5,050 mAh. It is claimed to be able to last up to days of use, unfortunately it is not matched by fast charging support.

For software updates, HMD promises two years on the OS and three years on monthly security. Considering that it is not a premium series, the rear camera has not used a lens from ZEISS. However, it can record with three-dimensional sound, aka spatial audio.
