vivo S10 Series 5G Launched in China, Has Two 44MP Front Cameras

China, Gizmology – After presenting the 5G mid-range smartphone option with the latest front camera, a vendor that is still the same parent as OPPO and OnePlus, vivo has just launched another series line in China. Equally superior selfie capabilities, the Vivo S10 & S10 Pro are here to carry five camera sensors.

Yes, vivo does have an S series line, but in Indonesia, the last one presented is vivo S1 Pro at the end of 2019. Since then, the medium series has only been filled with the V series, with vivo V21 & V21 5G present as the newest option, has a fairly large price difference.

Although the design is relatively similar, the Vivo S10 & S10 Pro carry a unique rear body coloring technique. Called “Photochromic”, the color can change drastically when exposed to a bright light source, it can change from an ice blue color to a dark navy blue.

There are four color options presented by vivo, and all of them still have very thin dimensions—only 7.29mm and weighs only 173 grams. If the back looks similar vivo X60 Pro, then the front looks actually look a little old school thanks to the wide bangs. Although there is a reason.

Both the Vivo S10 & S10 Pro screens both have dimensions of 6.44 inches with thin bezels, Super AMOLED panels and support for a 90Hz refresh rate. The fingerprint sensor is of course already present behind the screen glass, while at the top there are two flashes to help brighten up selfies in dark conditions.

So why is the size of the notch in front made wide? Because there are two sensors in it. The main sensor has a 44MP resolution, supports autofocus, is capable of recording up to 4K resolution and can also capture HDR content. In addition to portrait mode, vivo presents a real-time blur effect when recording video.

While the second sensor is an 8MP ultra wide-angle, of course to capture a wider field, or suitable for group photos. Then the difference between the two is the rear camera setup. vivo S10 carries a 64MP main sensor, 8MP ultra-wide and 2MP macro, which is pretty standard.

The Pro variant is made even more special, with a 108MP Samsung ISOCELL HM2 main sensor which is equivalent to the realme 8 Pro. The sensor has large dimensions, and supports 9-in-1 pixel binning technology. To improve photography capabilities, given the option of capturing images in RAW + HDR format at once.

The battery capacity is relatively small at 4,000 mAh, although charging will be very fast with 44W fast charging support.
